EVOTOB (Tobramycin 0.3%) is a sterile ophthalmic ointment. Tobramycin is a water-soluble aminoglycoside antibiotic is effective against wide variety of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. Tobramycin is bactericidal and acts by interfering with bacterial protein synthesis. It is shown by the bacterial susceptibility studies that in some cases microorganisms resistant to gentamicin retain susceptibility to Tobramycin.

EVOTOB ointment is indicated in the treatment of infections of the external eye and its adnexae caused by susceptible bacteria e.g. in conditions like conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers, blepharitis, dacryocystitis, palpebral abscess, prophylactic in traumatic eye and in pre and post-operative eye conditions.

Mild Infections: Apply 1cm to 1.5cm ribbon of ointment into the lower conjunctival sac(s) of affected eye(s) two to three times a day.

Severe Infections: Apply 1cm to 1.5cm ribbon of ointment into the lower conjunctival sac(s) of affected eye(s) every three to four hours until improvement occurs, dosage should be reduced prior to discontinuation.

EVOTOB Ointment is available as a sterile ointment in 3.5 gram in a plastic aluminum tube.

• Store in cool & dry place at 15°C to 30°C.

• Stop using the tube 4 weeks after first opening, to prevent infections.
